December 20 – Hans Heinrich Friedrich Vollert

December 20, 1192 – the day that Leopold V of Austria captures and imprisons Richard I of England. King Richard was on his way home to England after signing a treaty with Saladin ending the Third Crusade.

On December 20, 1658 Russia and Sweden sign the Truce of Valiesar. According to the agreements Russia could keep the conquered swedish areas for three years.

I have a very short entry for today.

On my family tree we mourn the death of Hans Heinrich Friedrich VOLLERT, a farm hand from Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany who died on December 20, 1819. According to his death entry, Hans was 31 years old and died of consumption.

Hans was the second son of Johann Joachim Heinrich VOLLERT, a cottager in Upahl and his wife Wilhemina Catharina Maria NEUMANN.

He got laid to rest on the church cemetary of Diedrichshagen on December 23, 1850.
