February 9 – Catharina Maria Dorothea Evert

Being married to Karl IV, the Bohemian Queen Anna of Schweidnitz is crowned as German Queen on February 9, 1354.

3000 suffragettes demonstrate on February 9, 1901 in London for the women’s right to vote – headed by Lady Frances Balfour and Lady Millicent Garrett Fawcett.

On my family tree we meet the sister-in-law of my 3rd great granduncle Gottlieb Carl Christian FREYTAG.

Catharina Maria Dorothea EVERT was born on February 9, 1853 in Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.

She is the second youngest of six children born into the marriage of the fee farmer Johann Joachim EVERT and his wife Wilhelmina Margaretha Elisabeth née WARNKE.

She received her christening in the church of the parish in Diedrichshagen on February 11, ,1853.

Unfortunately, she didn’t even reach her second birthday.

She died on January 1, 1855 in Upahl, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany of general weakness. Three of her siblings sufferd the same fate – they didn’t survive the first couple of months.

Catharina got laid to rest on the church cemetary of Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin on January 5, 1855.
