February 7 – Dorothea Maria Elisabeth Warnke

The members of the European Community sign the Maastricht Treaty on February 7, 1992. When this treaty came into force in every single country of the Community, it lead to the creation of the European Union and to our single currency, the Euro.

And on February 7, 1901 the dutch Queen Wilhelmina married the German Duke Heinrich zu Mecklenburg.

And on my family tree we meet my 3rd great grandaunt Dorothea Maria Elisabeth WARNKE. She was born on February 7, 1838 in Kastahn, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. Dorothea was the eighth of ten children born into the marriage of the farmer Gottlieb Heinrich Christian WARNKE and his wife Catharina Dorothea née QUALMANN.
