November 27, 1826: the pharmacist John Walker invents the match. But unfortunately this still burns down very irregularly and it smells quite bad!
And we stick to sciences. On November 27, 1895 Alfred Nobel signs his testament with which he wills all his fortune to a foundation. It is known today as the Nobel Foundation and is the one which presents the Nobel Prizes in Physics, Medicine, Chemistry, Literature, Peace and Economic Sciences.
On my my family tree it is not as scientific 😉
She is the second of five children from Hans Joachim Friedrich KOOP and Wilhelmina Louise Henriette KRUSE.
Wilhelmine gets christened on December 11, 1881 in Diedrichshagen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. In the same church she receives her lutheranian confirmation on March 29, 1886.
I haven’t found her yet in the censuses from 1890, 1900 or 1919.. very odd, I might add.
On July 21, 1905 she marries Johann Joachim Wilhelm Heinrich GRÖNING in Diedrichshagen:
And on January 7, 1922 she died in Upahl of a “throat and lung disease”. She got laid to rest in Diedrichshagen on January 12, 1922
